for Friday and final project 1

make sure you print/output your final for project 1 on a decent sheet [opaque] so it will hold the glue/spray mount. It doesn't necessarily have to be card stock but just high-quality laser paper.

if you are taking your files to be output elsewhere, save your file as a pdf to avoid having to deal with software and font issues. here's how:

from Indesign: go to the file menu> chose export.
at the bottom of the window make sure format is: adobe pdf. hit save.
at the top of the window where it says adobe pdf preset make sure the pull-down menu is high quality print.

if you want to set up a larger page to work on in Indesign: go to the file menu and chose document set up. on the page size pull-down menu chose Tabloid [which is 11 x 17]. make sure your orientation icon is on landscape [sideways].

for friday: have things for sketching: paper/pad, pencils and some sort of black marker. also always bring materials for taking notes as we are going to be reviewing vocabulary, reading and having a type history lecture in preparation for an upcoming QUIZ in the next few weeks.
